Brad Trost

Originally a farm boy from eastern Saskatchewan, Brad has lived, studied and worked in Saskatoon-University for the last 20 years. After receiving degrees from the University of Saskatchewan in Economics and Geophysics Brad worked as a mining exploration geophysicist in Canada’s north while based in Saskatoon. Along the way Brad also found time to teach English for a year in Russia.

First elected as the MP for Saskatoon-Humboldt in 2004 Brad has sponsored legislation on a variety of topics, including democratic reform, mining, foreign investment, and minor hockey. Brad is also a regular at citizenship ceremonies, funding announcements, and charitable events in and around Saskatoon.

Brad lives in Saskatoon with his wife Gerelt, and their daughter Isabel.

This riding consists of two portions of Saskatoon. West of the river it encompasses the area north of 33rd Street East and east of Warman Road. On the east side of the river it encompasses all areas of Saskatoon north of 8th Street East except the College Park East neighbourhood east of McKercher Drive and south of College Drive.
